ABM Industries looking candidates for cleaning, maintenance, and janitorial services to offices, hospitals, schools, airports, and commercial buildings across the country. Right now they are hiring full-time Cleaning Technicians at their New York location.
This is a straightforward job. You come in, clean the assigned areas properly, and make sure everything is left spotless before you leave. No complicated skills needed. If you are someone who takes pride in keeping spaces clean and can work independently without being told what to do every five minutes, you will do well here.
Job Role:
- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, hallways and common areas
- Clean floors throughout building, vacuum, mop and sweep
- Daily empty trash bins and change bin liners
- Clean surfaces, desks, windows and fittings
- Restock cleaning supplies and restroom supplies as needed
- Report any damages or maintenance problems you notice to your supervisor.
- Use cleaning products following all health and safety guidelines.
Working Hours
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Early morning or late evening shifts available depending on the building
- Overtime available for those who want extra hours

Requirements & Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and manage your assigned area without supervision
- Physically fit — this job involves standing, bending, and moving around for most of the shift
- Reliable and punctual — the building needs to be clean before staff arrive
- Basic understanding of cleaning products and how to use them safely
- Good attention to detail — you should notice when something is not clean enough
- Prior cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred but not required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Experience
No formal experience is required. If you have worked in a cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial role before that is a plus. ABM Industries provides proper training when you join so even candidates with no prior experience can apply.
