Flipkart is looking to hire an Accounting Specialist – Global Accounting to strengthen its finance operations. This position would be great for someone with experience in financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close procedures, and accounting compliance.

The successful candidate will work closely with finance teams to make sure financial records are accurate.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Prepare and review journal entries for posting to the general ledger.
• Balance sheet & accounts reconciliations.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year end close activities.
• Record and reconcile inter-company transactions.
• Support foreign currency accounting and reconciliation.
• Review of financial records for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare financial transaction reports for management
• Work with internal departments to clear accounting discrepancies.
• Supply necessary documentation to support internal and external audit activities.
• Adhere to accounting policies, financial controls and company procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
• Perform other finance assignments as directed by senior management.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must have one of the following qualifications:

B.S. Accounting B.S. Finance
Bachelors of Commerce (B.Com) Masters degree in Commerce or Finance (Preferred)

Professional certifications like CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA will be considered as an added advantage.

Candidates should be comfortable with spreadsheets, financial reports, pivot tables, formulas and accounting software for corporate finance.

Required Experience:

Minimum 2 to 5 years accounting experience.
Experience in account reconciliations and financial reporting.
Preferred exposure to multinational companies / shared service environment.
Experience in audits, compliance or intercompany accounting will be an advantage.

Working Schedule

Full-time.
Business Hours
Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be available, depending on business needs.
May occasionally be required to collaborate with finance teams in different time zones.
