Security Officer Role in London - Rotating shifts

G4S is one of the largest security companies in the world. In the UK they provide security services to offices, retail sites, hospitals, government buildings, and events across the country. Their London operations team needs Security Officers right now for a range of sites across the city.

This is a uniformed security role. You will be the first person people see when they enter a building and the person responsible for keeping it safe. The work is varied, some days are quiet, some are busy. You need to be alert, professional, and able to deal with situations calmly when they come up.

What the Job Involves

• Control access to the site: check passes, sign in visitors, and make sure only authorised people enter
• Patrol the building and grounds on foot at regular intervals throughout your shift
• Monitor CCTV and report anything suspicious to your supervisor straight away
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies on site following G4S procedures
• Write accurate and clear incident reports for everything that happens on your shift
• Deal with members of the public professionally and calmly at all times
• Lock and unlock the building at the start and end of each day where required

Pay and Shifts

• £12.00 to £14.00 per hour based on site and experience
• Full time 42 to 48 hours per week
• Rotating shifts: days, evenings, and nights on a rota
• Weekend shifts are part of the role
• Weekly pay
• Overtime available at busy sites across London
